TKMS has partnered with Kongsberg to deliver advanced maritime defence technologies to Canada. The collaboration combines Norwegian innovation with Canadian expertise to support the Royal Canadian Navy and allied navies, strengthening Canada’s sovereign naval capability while creating long-term high-tech jobs domestically.

For 20 years, we have represented Kongsberg in Canada, delivering advanced defence and aerospace technologies from seabed to space. Headquartered in Ottawa, Kongsberg Geospatial has been part of Team 212CD since the start of the German-Norwegian program, contributing more than 50,000 hours of Canadian software development to the ORCCA Combat Management System. We are excited to work with TKMS on the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project, establishing a CMS centre of excellence in Ottawa for the full fleet and future TKMS submarines globally. This generational opportunity will create long-term, high-tech jobs and support the growth of Ottawa’s planned Defence Innovation Hub, supporting the evolving needs of all three navies.

TKMS and Marmen have signed a strategic teaming agreement to produce selected 212CD submarine segments in Canada. The collaboration builds on Marmen’s high-precision expertise, Québec’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, and the industrial excellence of Trois-Rivières, strengthening Canada’s defense and maritime supply chain.

TKMS has partnered with Seaspan Shipyards to support Canada’s goal of building a sovereign sustainment capability for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP). The collaboration brings together TKMS’s global submarine through-life engineering and lifecycle support expertise with Seaspan’s proven Canadian sustainment infrastructure, workforce, and supply chain. Together, they intend to work with the Royal Canadian Navy and the Department of National Defence to establish a Canadian-led integrated sustainment enterprise team that strengthens operational readiness and long-term availability of Canada’s future submarine fleet, while reinforcing Canadian jobs, growth, and sovereignty.
